Kobo Gourmet participated in the Toronto Slow Food Pinic at the Bricks in September 2008.  Many people stopped by our tasting bar to sample our fresh, organic menu items.

Kobo Gourment's Wagyu Beef Demonstration at Toronto Pusateri's

Chef Nobu Yamada recently hosted a Japanese Wagyu beef event at Pusateri's, Toronto's premier location for fine groceries.  He also led a Wagyu  cooking demonstration -- the first in Canada.

Kobo Gourmet Wagyu Beef Event at Pusateri's

Wagyu or Kobe Style Beef is produced from special bred Japanese cattle.  Wagyu is known for its highly-marbled flesh and has a high percentage of unsaturated fat.  In Japan, Wagyu cattle are fed beer and sake.

Wagyu Beef Up Close

While there are US-produced versions of Angus/Wagyu beef, Kobo Gourmet's event featured authentic Japanese Wagyu beef.
